John Davenport (industrialist)
John Davenport (29 September 1765 – 12 December 1848〔The Times, Friday, Dec 15, 1848; pg. 7; Issue 20047; col C Deaths〕) was an English industrial potter, founder of the Davenport Pottery firm in The Potteries, and Conservative MP for the Stoke Division from 1832 to 1841.〔http://www.thepotteries.org/walks/longport/davenport.htm〕〔http://www.thepotteries.org/biographies/davenport_john.htm〕
He was also Deputy Lieutenant for Staffordshire.

He married Diana Ward in 1795 and by her had two daughters and three sons.
